GENERAL DIRECTIONS
Step 1/Trim and Steam-Baste 1. Pin pattern piece to SHIRTAILOR following grainline arrows; cut. Trim seam allowances to ⅜” (9mm). 2. Place fusible side of SHIRTAILOR to wrong side of upper collar or outer cuff. Pin, then steam-baste along edges with tip of iron. Remove pins. Step 2/Fuse 1. Cover with a DAMP press cloth. 2. With iron at medium permapress/steam setting, press FIRMLY for full 15 seconds. Repeat, lifting and slightly overlapping iron until all interfacing is fused. 3. Use steam iron with metal sole plate. Hand-held steamers will not permanently bond interfacing to fabric.
TIP: Use your damp press cloth as a temperature and timing guide. After 15 seconds, press cloth should be dry. If not, raise iron temperature or hold iron in place a few seconds longer.
